AND 50-287/88-03)
This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
inspection conducted by
A. B. Ruff on February 22-26,
1988.
The inspection included a review of
activities authorized for your Oconee facility.
The report documenting this
inspection was sent to you by letter dated May 25, 1988. NRC concerns relative
to the inspection findings were also discussed in an Enforcement Conference
held on July 1, 1988. A summary of this Enforcement Conference was sent to you
on July 25, 1988.
As a result of the inspection findings amd the enforcement conference certain
activities appeared to violate NRC requirements. The violations, references to
pertinent requirements,
and elements to be included in your response are
described in the enclosed Notice of Violation.
The information you provided at the enforcement conference showed that the item
regarding documentation of cable similiarity in EQ files is not a violation.
This item was identified in the inspection report as Violation Number 50-269,
270, 287/88-03-04 and is now removed from the NRC records.
In accordance with Section 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
The responses i-rected by this letter and its enclosure are not subject to the
clearance procedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, Pub. L. No.96-511.
