CONFIRMATION OF ACTION - DOCKET NOS. 50-269, 50-270, AND 50-287 This letter refers to the telephone conversation on September 6, 1984, between Mr.
B. A. Wilson and Mr.
C. Burger of this office and Mr. N. Pope, Superin tendent of Operations, Oconee Nuclear Plant, concerning the results of the licensed operator and senior operator NRC requalification examinations conducted at the Oconee Nuclear Plant on August 3, 14 and 16, 1984.
Based upon the matters discussed, it is our understanding that the following actions will be taken by September 7, 1984.
The two operators who failed the NRC requalification examination administered in August 1984 will be prohibited from performing licensed duties.
They will not be returned to licensed duties until they have satisfactorily completed an accelerated requalification program and passed a recertification examination.
These two individuals are identified by license number in the enclosure.
If your understanding of our discussion is different from that stated above, please inform this office promptly.
