RESPONSE TO GENERIC LETTER 90-03 FOR THE OCONEE, MCGUIRE AND CATAWBA NUCLEAR STATIONS (TAC NOS. 76265, 76266, 76267, 76255, 76256, 76220, AND 76221)
On March 20, 1990, the NRC issued Generic Letter (GL) 90-03, "Relaxation of Staff Position in Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2.2 Part 2 'Vendor Interface for Safety-Related Components.'"
The GL requested that all licensees and applicants review their present vendor interface programs and modify them as necessary using the guidance supplied in the GL.
By letter dated September 14, 1990, you responded to Generic Letter 90-03 and indicated that the programs will be implemented by January 1, 1991, in accordance with the guidance given in the GL. The NRC staff has reviewed your response and finds that it meets the reporting requirements of the GL.
This action closes TAC Nos. 76265, 76266, 76267, 76255, 76256, 76220, and 76221.
