Dear Mr. Tucker:
This is to inform you that on August 7 and 8, 1990, Mr. George P. Simion of the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory will visit your Oconee Nuclear Station. The purpose of this visit will be to gather information in support of the resolution of Generic Safety Issue 106 (GSI-106), "Piping and the Use of Highly Combustible Gases in Vital Areas." Details of his visit are included in the enclosed letter from Mr. Simion.
Because of the short notice, I have discussed the details of this visit with Mr. Paul Guill of your staff and Mr. Ed Legette at the Oconee Station. Station support in providing a knowledgeable escort and the other assistance requested would be appreciated.
