5) Dan Fruehling, Dairyland Power Cooperative, Letter to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, "LACBWR Nuclear Liability Insurance Coverage," dated January 5, 201'6 In accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) order approving the transfer of the La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR) license and conforming amendment (Reference I), LaCrosseSolutions, LLC (LS) is providing the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) and the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) notification that LS has satisfied the requirement to obtain the appropriate amount of insurance required of a licensee under 10 CFR 140 and 10 CFR50.54(w), consistent with the exemptions issued to LACBWR on June 26, 1986 (Reference 2). As discussed in the application for license transfer (Reference 3), Dairyland Power Cooperative (DPC), as the owner licensee, will maintain the existing onsite property damage insurance coverage and the existing offsite nuclear liability coverage in accordance with approved exemptions for IO CFR 50.54(w) and 10 CFR 140. DPC provided proof of adequate onsite property damage coverage and offsite nuclear liability coverage earlier this year as documented in References 4 and 5. The attached letters from American Nuclear Insurers (ANI) and Nuclear Risk Insurers Limited commit to add LS to the respective policies at the time the license transfer becomes effective.
