RECEIPT AND AVAILABILITY OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE WATERFORD STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT 3
Dear Mr. Chisum:
On March 30, 2016, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) received the Entergy Operations, Inc. application for renewal of operating license for Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3. We are currently performing an acceptance review for docketing in accordance with the requirements of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.101 (10 CFR 2.101), and will notify you of the results of our review. Should the NRC staff determine that the application is acceptable for docketing, a schedule for the review will be provided to you.
We have enclosed for your information a copy of the notice relating to your application that is being sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Phyllis Clark as the project manager for the safety review, and Ms. Elaine Keegan as the project manager for the environmental review of your license renewal application. Please forward copies of license renewal correspondence to Ms. Clark or Ms. Keegan as appropriate. Ms. April Pulvirenti continues to be responsible for the project management of all issues other than license renewal for the Waterford Steam Electric Station.
