SUBJECT:
SURRY POWER STATION - NRC MATERIAL CONTROL AND ACCOUNTING INSPECTION REPORT 05000280/2015404, 05000281/2015404
Dear Mr. Heacock:
On December 31, 2015, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed an Material Control & Accounting inspection at your Surry Power Station, Units 1 and 2. On January 13, 2016, the NRC inspectors discussed the results of this inspection with R. Simmons and other members of your staff. Inspectors documented the results of this inspection in the enclosed inspection report.
The NRC inspectors did not identify any findings or violations of more than minor significance.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding, of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS); accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
Enclosure transmitted herewith contains SUNSI material, when separated from the Enclosure this transmittal document is decontrolled. The material enclosed herein contains Security-Related Information in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d) (1), and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals could present a security vulnerability.
Therefore, the material in the Enclosure will not be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room, or from the PARS component of NRCs ADAMS.
