By letter dated July 30, 2015, Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc. (DNC) submitted relief requests for limited coverage examinations performed in the first inspection period of the fourth 10-year inservice inspection interval for Millstone Power Station Unit 2 (MPS2). In an email dated December 3, 2015, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) transmitted a request for additional information (RAI) to DNC related to Relief Requests RR-04-17 and RR-04-18. DNC agreed to respond to the revised RAI by January 4, 2016.

The attachment to this letter provides DNC's response to the NRC's RAI.

Question 1 For Requests for Relief Nos. RR-04-1 7 and RR-04-18, please provide the non-destructive examination procedure used in the subject ultrasonic examinations (e.g.,

ASME Code,Section XI, Appendix VIII; or Section V, Article 4; or other).

DNC Response For the examinations addressed in Relief Request RR-04-17, the examination procedure was written in accordance with ASME Section XI, Appendix I and Section V, Article 4. For the examinations addressed in Relief Request RR-04-1 8, the examination procedure was written in accordance with ASME Section Xl, Appendix I and Appendix II1.
