- OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION
Dear Mr. McCollum:
This refers to the meeting conducted by mutual request at the Oconee Nuclear Station (Oconee Office Building, room 316) April 22, 1998, to discuss the charter of the NRC management oversight group (MOG) assigned to keep abreast of Oconee recovery activities and emergent issues. Enclosed is a list of meeting attendees.
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial in providing you and your staff with a better understanding of the function of the MOG. It was mutually agreed that during the next MOG meeting with Oconee management, discussions will include: The MOG exit strategy: metrics to be used by the MOG to assess Oconee's recovery progress; assessment of Oconee Recovery Plan items that are closed by the licensee; and inspection of open items important to recovery.
In accordance with Section 2.790(a) of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
