MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT - DUKE POWER COMPANY
Dear Mr. McCollum:
This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. M. Tuckman of your Duke Power Company and Mr. L. Wert of this office on September 18, 1996. concerning a Management meeting to be conducted in the NRC Region II office (101 Marietta St., N. W., Suite 2900, Atlanta, Georgia) on October 23, 1996, from 10:00 a.m.
to 12:00 noon. We requested this meeting to discuss the corrective actions stemming from the welding issues identified during the Catawba Steam Generator Replacement. Included in the scope of this meeting are those actions being taken to prevent similar problems during the upcoming McGuire Steam Generator Replacement, as well as the overall improvements being taken to strengthen the Duke Power Company welding program. This will be an open meeting as per "Staff Meetings Open to the Public; Final Policy Statement" (September 20, 1994; 59 FR 48340).
