Re: Oconee Nuclear Station, Units 1, 2, and 3 Generic Letter 83-28, Item 2.2 Part 1, required all licensees to describe in detail their programs for classifying all safety-related components other than reactor trip system (RTS) components as safety-related. This classification affects documents and information handling systems which are used to control plant activities that may affect these components. We have enclosed our safety evaluation and our consultant's report, EG&G-NTA-7332.
We find your responses acceptable and therefore, consider Item 2.2 (Part 1) to be complete. Item 2.2, Part 2, vendor interface, continues to be reviewed.
