SUBJECT: OCONEE NUCLEAR STATION REQUALIFICATION EXAMINATION REPORT
NO. 50-269/91-301
On July 23 through August 1, 1991, the NRC administered requalification
examinations led by M. E. Ernstes to employees of your company who currently
hold licenses to operate your Oconee Nuclear Station. At the conclusion of
the examination, preliminary findings were discussed with those members of
your staff identified in the enclosed report.
A requalification program evaluation report is included as Enclosure 2. The
evaluation report finds that the Oconee Nuclear Station requalification
program is classified as satisfactory. A Simulator Fidelity Report is
provided in this report as Enclosure 3.
The NRC is concerned with the accuracy of your simulator's modeling of manual
control of Engineering Safeguards components. Details of this discrepancy are
found in Enclosure 1.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commissions regulations, a copy of this
letter and the enclosures will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
