We have reviewed your July 28, 1981 response~to our May 4, 1981 request for commitments to meet regulatory positi.'ons C.6, 6, 7, 8 and 10 of Regulatory Guide 1.58, Revision 1, and Regulatory Guide 1.1.46.
Your response committed to have procedures In place to implement all of these regulatory positions, except regulatory position 8 of Regulatory Guide 1.58, by September 30, 1981.
As an alternative to regulatory position 8 of Regulatory Guide 1.58, you pro posed to use existing Duke and Ocon~ee Nuclear Station Manuals and directions to maintain occupational exposures as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA).
We find these commitments to be in accordance with our request and consider them acceptable. If you have any further questions on this subject, please contact me.
