Gray File This is to confirm that you do not anticipate any conflicts with providing the 60 day response and/or the 150 day response which we requested in our letter concerning the Pressurized Thermal Shock to Reactor Pressure Vessels dated August 21, 1981.
The safety question related to pressurized thermal shock is being care fully analyzed by the NRC staff. The request is oriented to developing a resolution of this issue by next summer (1982). The information which we requested in our August 21, 1981 letter to be submitted within 60 4ays and 150 days is an important part of the total effort. Your complete and timely response will give us opportunity to avoid the necessity of specifying conservatisms where more definitive and timely information would not be available.
