Vice President - Steam Production 422 South Church Street Post Office -Box 33189 Charlotte, -North Carolina 28242 Gentlemen:
We have received a copy of the following applications which were filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) for review in connection with Unit Nos. 1, 2 and 3 of the Oconee Nuclear Station.
- 1. A September 10, 1982 request for Technical Specification changes regarding containment penetration local leak test requirements for Unit Nos. 1, 2 and 3. Fees pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 were not remitted with this request because your Company viewed it as being supplemental to your July 30, 1982 organizational changes for which a Class II and two Class I fees were paid, and
- 2.
An October 14, 1982 request for a Technical Specification change to allow the pressurizer' code safety valves on Unit No. 1 to be degraded from October 14, 1982 through October 29, 1982. A Class III fee ($4,000) and two Class I fees ($800) were remitted with this request.
The ONRR staff have provided data to us regarding fees for the above items.
Based on information provided, it has been determined that:
- 1. A Class III fee ($4,000) and two Class I fees ($800) are appropriate for item 1. above since the review involved consideration of a single safety O*issue and duplicate units. It is not considered as supplemental to the July 30 application because it added a new item for consideration rather than supplemental data on the organizational changes requested July 30.
- 2. A single Class III ($4,000) is appropriate for item 2. above since the requested change was only needed for Unit No. I and involved a single safety issue.

-2 In conclusion, a total of $8,800 is applicable for items 1. and 2. above.
Since your Company'has paid only $4,800, it is requested that $4,000 be remitted to our office to complete the fee requirements. We note that these applications were approved by license amendments issued on October 26, 1982. Therefore, these fee determinations are considered to be the final ones.
