Enclosure Request for Additional Information Oconee Units Nos. 1 & 2 Spent Fuel Pool Capacity Increase Structural Design
- 1. Provide the ratio of horizontal displacement, due to the SSE, and the available gaps between racks and between racks and nearest pool structure. This ratio of displacement to gap is the margin against contact during the SSE, which would result in an unanalyzed force.
This question is referenced to your February 2, 1979 letter,, page 2-4.
- 2. Describe the positive physical means you will employ to maintain a potential drop height of no more than 6 feet for a fuel bundle. This question is referenced to page 2-5.
