POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF RELIEF REQUEST 2-RR-7 REGARDING RE-CATEGORIZATION OF UNIT 2 STEAM GENERATOR NOZZLE TO SAFE-END WELDS (TAC NO. MF3304)
Dear Mr. McCartney:
By letter dated December 27, 2013 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML13365A310), NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra),
submitted a relief request (RR) for re-categorization of the four steam generator nozzle dissimilar metal welds installed in Point Beach Nuclear Plant Unit 2.
By letter dated June 11, 2015 (ADAMS Accession No. ML15162A831), you informed the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) of your decision to withdraw the subject RR.
Following a conference call with the NRC staff, NextEra determined that it will withdraw the December 27, 2013, RR and submit a new RR in the future. The purpose of this letter is to advise you that the RR dated December 27, 2013, is being treated as withdrawn. Accordingly, TAC No. MF3304 will be closed upon issuance of this letter.
