SUMMARY

OF THE APRIL 7, 2015, MEETING WITH EXELON GENERATION COMPANY LLC, ON THE LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST TO ADD SPENT FUEL POOL METHODOLOGY AND PROPOSED CHANGE TO TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 4.3.1 FOR DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. MF5734 AND MF5735)

On April 7, 2015, a Category 1 public teleconference was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon, the licensee). The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the acceptance review and license amendment request to add spent fuel pool methodology for the criticality safety analysis (CSA) at Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3 (Dresden). The meeting notice and agenda, dated March 27, 2015, is available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML15092A938. A supplemental agenda containing talking points for discussion can be found at ADAMS Accession No. ML15085A575.

A list of attendees is enclosed.

The NRC staff and the licensee discussed the description, test results, and surveillance strategies for neutron absorbing material which the licensee intends to credit in the proposed CSA. The NRC staff and the licensee agreed that further clarification for talking point #5, for coupon surveillance, was necessary to complete the acceptance review.

The licensee and NRC staff also discussed scheduling regarding the acceptance review and technical review of the planned Dresden technical specification amendment submittal and how it related to other license amendment submittals received by the NRC from the licensee.

Members of the public were not in attendance. Public Meeting Feedback forms were not received.
