NRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-269/98-07, 50-270/98-07, 50-287/98-07
Dear Mr. McCollum:
On July 25, 1998, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conpleted an
integrated inspection at your Oconee 1, 2, and 3 reactor facilities. The
enclosed report presents the results of that inspection.
During the six-week period covered by this inspection, your conduct of
activities at the Oconee facilities was generally characterized by safety
conscious operations, maintenance, and engineering practices.
Also during the inspection period, the NRC received a response dated
- August
5, 1998, to Notice of Violation 50-269.270,287/98-03-02. and a
supplemental response to Notice of Violation 50-269,270,287/98-03-07. We
have evaluated your responses and found that they meet the requirements of
10 CFR 2.201. We will examine the implementation of your corrective actions
during future inspections.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosure, will be placed inthe NRC Public Document Room
(PDR).
