Dear Mr. Giebel:
Oak RidgeAssociatedUniversities (ORAU),under the Oak RidgeInstitute for Scienceand Education (ORISE) contract, receivedthree soil sampleson December 12, 2014 from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The samples were analyzed for gamma emittingradionuclides, gross alpha and beta (GAB),
tritium (H-3), and carbon-14 (C-14)as directed in an email dated January 7, 2015. There was no NRC Form 303 sent with the samples. The samples were sent direcdyfrom the University of Michigan.
The sample identification numbers, as provided on the University of Michigan chain of custody forms, are presented in Table 1. The gamma spectrometry, GAB, and H-3 and C-14 results are presented in Tables 2 through 4, respectively. The pertinent procedure references are included with the data tables.
ORAU's Quality Control (QC) requirements were met for these analyses. The QC files are available for your review upon request.
