Based on our review of your responses, we find that the design modifications are acceptable, except as noted in the enclosed safety evaluation report (SER). Please provide a response to the confirmatory items, that are summarized in the Conclusion section of the SER, to permit completion of this review. In addition, please provide a response to the staff position on bypass breaker position indication including the interlock for all remote breaker position indication, also enclosed.
Since you have already implemented the shunt trip modifications, you should submit proposed technical specifications which are responsive to our requirements noted in the enclosed SER. Our guidance for these technical specifications will be issued shortly.
