Dear Mr. Utley:
Your letter dated January 28, 1983, submitted a proposed steam generator eddy current inspection program scope for an inspection scheduled to begin about April 23, 1983, at the H. B. Robinson Steam.Electric Plant Unit No. 2. The eddy current inspection scope was submitted in accordance with License Condition 3.I.a of the H. B. Robinson Unit No. 2 Operating License. Basically the proposed scope of the inspection included all of the unplugged tubes covering the hot and cold legs and 20-30% of the tubes through the U-bends. This scope was developed as a result of the previous corrosion history.
We have completed our review of your January 28, 1983 submittal and conclude that the proposed eddy current inspection program is acceptable provided that the inspection be expanded should the inspection results indicate the need for increased inspection.
