Dear Mr. Jones:
We have completed our review of your submittal of March 15, 1979 (as supplemented April JO, 19791 regarding the acceptability of the proposed Isolation Valve Seal Water (IVSW) system. Based on our evaluation, which is enclosed, we find that the proposed-IVSW system meets the requirements -of an engineered safety feature as well as 10 CFR 50 Appendix J requirements., We, therefore, conclude that the proposedIVSW system is acceptable and can be used in performing future Type C tests on those valves served by the system.
