OCT 1 1978 APPENDIX A NOTICE OF DEVIATION Carolina Power and Light Co.
License No. DPR-23 Based on the results of the NRC inspection conducted on August 7-11, 1978, certain of your activities appear to deviate from your commitment to the Commission, as indicated below.
The licensee's response to IE Report No. 50-261/77-7, dated November 29, 1977, states that HP-30 will be strictly adhered to in inventorying emergency kits.
Contrary to the above commitment, on August 7, 1978, the inspector observed, at the Plant Access Emergency Kit, (1) two survey instruments with batteries left in, and (2) quantities of half-face and full-face respirators that deviated from the approved inventory list.
