REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - ANNUAL CERTIFICATION OF FINANCIAL ASSURANCE (TECHNICAL ASSIGNMENT CONTROL NUMBER L33304)
Dear Mr. Leavey:
The staff at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) have completed their review of the annual certification of financial assurance, transmitted by letter dated December 20, 2013. The review has identified additional information that is needed before final action can be taken on the subject submittal.
The additional information, specified in the enclosure, should be provided within 30 days from the date of this letter.
Pending the additional information, which answers the Request for Additional Information, we anticipate completing our review by the end of July 2014. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. The NRC staff will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System component of the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
