SUMMARY
Peach Bottom Atomic Power Stations (PBAPS2 and PBAPS3, herein referred to as "Peach Bottom Unit 2 and Peach Bottom Unit 3") are implementing an extended power uprate (EPU) to increase plant power to I
]ac To satisfy the requirements of the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Regulatory Guide 1.20, Revision 3 (Reference 2), an analysis must be performed to demonstrate the structural integrity of the steam dryer at EPU conditions.[

BACKGROUND AND INTRODUCTION a.c Previous industry experience with boiling water reactors (BWRs) has shown that increasing the steam flow through the MSLs to implement an EPU may lead to amplified acoustic loads on the steam dryer, which may negatively affect the structural integrity of the component. [
NRC Regulatory Guide 1.20, Revision 3 (Reference 2), contains requirements for demonstrating the structural integrity of the steam dryer at power levels higher than CLTP.
