Title: NMP NRC Exam March 2014 Operating Exam Changes

Purpose:

A memo documenting changes and comments from the Operating Exam based on NRC Prep Week and Chief Examiner Draft Operating Exam Submittal review.

Operating Exam Changes:

Simulator JPM S-2 Type Codes changed from D, S to A, M, S, based on revision to Simulator JPM S-2.

JPM S-1 Step 12 was changed from PASS/FAIL to SAT/UNSAT.

JPM S-2 Modified to incorporate an alternate path requiring the operators to manually scram the reactor after 3 control rods scrammed.

JPM P-lA/18 Revised Step 16 from SAT/UNSAT to PASS/FAIL.

For P-1A, removed all references to the Division 2 EDG. For P-1B, removed all references to the Division 1 EDG.

Added a SAT/UNSAT step for Applicants to sign and initial Attachment 1, "Test Personnel Signature and Initial Log".

Reference Precaution and Limitation 6.4 for this step.

Step 7, Changed cue from 240 psig to 245 psig.

Step 12, added cue for Diesel Air Start Pressure after start.

Steps 5, 6, 13, changed "Directs" to "Contacts" Changed validation time to 20 minutes JPM P-2 Step 2, changed Section 8.0 to Section 8.2.

Changed Initial Conditions to remove reference to Section 8.2 (i.e. drain line installed @ 2RDS*V107 vice referencing the exact procedure section).

Revised validation time to 20 minutes.

No changes to this JPM Revise provided log to show only two instances of constant RPV flow with no change in Primary Containment Water Level. Currently there are four instances.

RO C0-2 Revise JPM initiating cue to make it clear that the Applicant is to get Shift Manager Signature approval, not just the Shift Manager approval.

RO EC Revise JPM to limit the scope of the JPM. Originally had Applicant describe all Division 1 components. Revised JPM to just describe one Division 1 component.

Changed JPM to two worksheets vice just one worksheet.

Nq changes to.thisJPM Revise initiating cue from "Document all required actions .... "

to "Document all required communications and actions .... "

Step 7, add cue for CR being initiated SROC0-2 No changes to this JPM SROEC Step 11, 12, and 14 fix breaker and electric bus nomenclature (typos)
