On March 5, 1987, a letter was sent to your Company requesting a Class III fee ($4,000) for your June 8, 1984 application which proposed certain Technical Specification changes (Proposed Change No. 136) relating to fire protection equipment for the San Onofre Nuclear Gen erating Station Unit No. 1. The ONRR staff have reassessed their fee determination with respect to your June 8, 1984 application and have determined that fees are not required because the application is a continuance of an earlier application regarding fire protection issues for which fees were waived. The waiver is for those fire protection applications required as a result of Branch Technical Position APCSB 9.5-1 that was issued on May 1, 1976.
