Docket No. 50-206 NOTRUMP Small Break LOCA Analysis UFSAR Update Package San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 The purpose of this letter is to reschedule submittal of the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) package containing the results of the SONGS 1 Small Break Loss of Coolant Accident (SBLOCA) reanalysis. This reanalysis was necessary due to plant design changes installed during the current outage as a result of NRC Bulletin 88-04, "Potential Safety-Related Pump Loss." By letter dated November 29, 1990, we committed to submit the update package to you by March 30, 1991.
Due to the extension of the current outage, and the large restart effort required by our staff during the past several months, we will not be able to meet the March 30, 1991 submittal date. Based on our current availability of resources, the UFSAR Update Package will be provided by May 31, 1991.
We have discussed the new schedule with Mr. G. Kalman, NRC Senior Project Manager for SONGS 1.
