This refers to your October 28, 1980 request for a revision of the approved route for shipping spent fuel from San Onofre Unit 1 to Morris, Illinois.
The request is subject to the Commission's license fee schedule in 10 CFR 170.
For reactor licensees, fees for the review of route approval requests will be assessed under Category F of Section 170.21, as special projects.
In accordance with Footnote 4 of Section 170.21, the charge for the review will be determined by the Commission based on the professional manpower required to conduct the review plus any support costs. In determining the fee to be charged, only actual staff time expended in the review of the route request is used to calculate the fee; the route (field) survey con ducted by the NRC staff is excluded from fee computation.
We will notify you of the fee due when the review has been approved. If you have any questions concerning this matter, please let us know.
