The report contains the technical infor mation associated with the steam generator tube sleeve design.
presented to the Regulatory staff during a meeting held on August 15, 1980.
The report also contains additional information which became available subsequent to the August 15, 1980 meeting. This additional information will be presented to the Regulatory staff during a meeting scheduled on September 3, 1980.
As previously discussed with the Regulatory staff, it is respectfully requested that you review and take appropriate action prior to September 10, 1980, when it is expected that the installation of the sleeves will commence.
The Forward to the enclosed report indicates that the report contains information proprietary to Westinghouse Electric Corporation and is submitted in confidence and is to be used solely for the purpose for which it is furnished and returned upon request. Currently, Westinghouse is preparing an affidavit including a reference to the basis for designating the material proprietary. It is estimated that the affidavit together with a request to withhold the report from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.790(b) will be forthcoming by September 15, 1980.
At that time, a non-proprietary version of the enclosed report will also be sub mitted for your use. As discussed with the Regulatory staff, the enclosed report will be held in confidence forinternal. review pending receipt of the affidavit and request for withholding the report from public disclosure.
