B DBrinkman RE: TOPICIV-I.A -,OPERATION WITH LESS THAN ALL LOOPS IN SERVICE The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No..43 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for the Sa'n Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1. This amendment'implements the recommended changes to the Technical Specifications, sent to you with our letter dated April 30, 1979, as requested by your-application (Proposed Change No.
- 80) dated June 11, 1979.
The amendment changes the provisions of the Appendix A Technical Specifications to restrict operation with less than all reactor coolant loops in service.
A copy of our related Safety Evaluation and the Notice of Issuance are also enclosed.
