Feed and Bleed Capability The NRC staff is currently addressing ACRS comments concerning Combustion Engineering (CE) designed plants.
Specifically, we are addressing the absence of PORV's and the lack of primary feed and bleed capability.
The Division of Systems Integration (DSI) in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR) will be generating a Supplemental Safety Evaluation Report for CESSAR/Palo Verde on this issue. Their current draft report is shown as Enclosure 1. In addition, Combustion Engineering.if,being requested to evaluate this concern for'CE plants (Enclosure 2). We request that you review the attached information and make a commitment to participate in the CE effort with regard to San Onofre 2 and 3.
