REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT NO. 1 The NRC has recently been informed that a complaint has been filed by Southern California Edison Company with courts initiating litigation concerning steam generators supplied by Westinghouse for use in the San Onofre Unit 1 nuclear power plant.
At this time, the NRC has no position on the merits of the complaint. However, we wish to remind you of your responsibilities under 10 CFR Part 21, Part 50.72 and Part 50.73 for the review, evaluation, and reporting to NRC of defects in safety-related equipment, materials, and services which may be identified by you at any time, including during the review and discovery process resulting from this complaint.
