-2 Upon loss of the 480V bus there was containment isolation. This is because loss of power to one of the two containment isolation switches (connected in a 1 out of 2 logic) is derived from the 480V bus in the 4 KV switchgear room and loss of the 480V bus is an intended cause for containment isolation.
SCEC stated that upon arrival of new parts (bus bar, insulators, etc.)
which is being furnished by Westinghouse, the switchgear unit will be' removed from service for repair. The power and control circuits will be Hi-Potted (high potential test) andmegger tested and a preoperational checkout of equipment connected to the repaired bus section will be performed before returning the plant to operation. The staff considers these measures to be acceptable for resuming plant operation.
