This office has received a copy of your September 26, 1979 Technical Specification Change Request No. 61 which you filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) for review and approval. The applica tion proposed changes to the Technical Specifications for Point Beach Units I and 2 (Licenses DPR-24 and DPR-27) relating mainly to plant management titles, plant reporting requirements and shock suppressors.
Fees for Classes II and I ($1,600) were submitted with the application because your Company determined that the requested changes are adminis trative in nature and because a second unit is involved in the request.
Based on guidance from the ONRR staff as a result of their preliminary review of your application, it has been determined that the application involves consideration of a single safety issue for the change in the reporting level for the Radiochemical Engineer and Health Physicist and unrelated administrative changes. As such, the application requires a Class III and a Class II fee totalling $5,200 for Unit 1 and two Class I fees totalling $800 for Unit 2. Therefore, it is requested that your Company promptly forward the additional sum of $4,400 to this office.
If after the final ONRR evaluation of your application is completed it is determined that it was incorrectly classified, you will be refunded any overpayment or billed for any additional amount due.
