UNIMPLEMENTED.GENERIC SAFETY ISSUES AT SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT NOS. 1, 2 AND 3 On April 25, 1990 the staff issued Generic Letter 90-04 which requested infor mation concerning the implementation status of certain generic safety issues (GSIs) at your facilities. Based on your responses to this Generic Letter, dated June 27, 1990, July 3, 1990, and July 17, 1990, our own records, and discussions with your staff, we have updated our database on GSI implementation status. The results of this effort were presented to the Commission at a meeting on October 25, 1990.
The enclosures to this letter summarize the staff's understanding of the current status of those GSIs which remain unimplemented at San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit Nos. 1, 2 and 3. We appreciate the assistance you provided in responding to Generic Letter 90-04 and we encourage your timely completion of those GSIs listed in the enclosures.
