VERIFICATION OF PRESSURIZER INTEGRITY - SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT NO. 1 We have received your letter dated October 19, 1990, which provides the results of your visual inspection of the pressurizer for San Onfore Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1 (SONGS-1). Your inspection was performed in response to concerns that we expressed to you in a letter dated July 30, 1990, regarding pressurizer clad cracking. Based on your inspection results, you have concluded that clad cracking has not occurred in the SONGS-1 pressurizer and that the integrity of the pressurizer remains intact.

The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge your responsiveness in addressing our concerns, as we recognize that your inspection of the SONGS-1 pressurizer was not a trivial matter. We' are satisfied by the results of your inspection and have no further questions in this regard.
