Environmental Qualification of Safety-Related Electrical Equipment San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit 1 By letter dated November 4, 1981 we transmitted to you our response to the NRC's Safety Evaluation Report.
The letter indicated that some equipment would be replaced and that we would be providing a replacement schedule for that equipment.
Specifically, we indicated that the equipment identified in TER No.
19A and 79 was being replaced.
TER No.
19A relates to controllers for FCV 1115 D, E and F and TER No.
79 relates to Reactor Coolant RTD's.
The controllers identified in TER No.
19A for FCV1115 D, E and F are scheduled for replacement during the first outage of sufficient duration after
- December, 1983.
The Reactor Coolant RTD's identified in TER No.
79 are scheduled for replacement by the next scheduled refueling outage (i.e.,
approximately Spring, 1983).
These dates are based on conceptual and preliminary information regarding the design time, material availability, fabrication and qualification of the equipment.
If the above installation dates cannot be met, based on final engineering, we will inform you.
