ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT NO. 136 TO PROVISIONAL OPERATING LICENSE SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT NO. 1 (TAC NOS. 76730 AND 76809)
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.
136 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-13 for San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit No. 1. The'amendment consists of changes to the License Conditions and the Technical Specifications in response to your application dated June 5, 1990, as supplemented by letters dated September 26 and September 28, 1990. The amendment deletes License Condition 3.L applicable to the emergency diesel engines, and incorporates its requirements in the Technical Specifications.
We have also completed our review of your submittal dated.May 22, 1990, which provides your response to our Safety Evaluation dated November 21, 1989, relating to the TDI diesel engines. Based on our review, we consider your resolution of the remaining items to be acceptable and this matter to be resolved.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation is enclosed for your information. Also, the Notice of Issuance related to the Technical Specification amendment will be included in the Commission's next regular biweekly Federal Register notice.
