NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION - AMENDMENT APPLICATION NO. 169 (TAC NO. 72920)
Re:
San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1 Enclosed for your information is a Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to Provisional Operating License and Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination and Opportunity for Hearing. The notice relates to your request to revise Technical Specification 3.5.1, "Reactor Trip System Instrumentation." The revision, if approved, would revise Table 3.5.1-1 to include a footnote relating to Mode 2 of the Applicable Modes column for Item 4, the Intermediate,Range, Neutron Flux. The footnote would indicate the staltup rate circuit for the intermediate ;ange channels will be enabled at 10- % of full reactor power instead at 10- % of full reactor power as presently implied but not specified in the Technical Specifications.
The Notice has been sent to Office of the Federal Register for publication.
