SAN ONOFRE UNIT NO. 1 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS In reviewing your various applications for amendment and based on discussions with your staff and NRC personnel, it-has become apparent that there are differences between the version of the San Onofre Unit No. 1 Technical Specifications that exist at the site and the official version that is maintained here in NRC headquarters. These differences are believed to be minor and consist of differences in pagination and overflow from one page to the next. These differences, however, cause a great deal of additional administrative work on both our parts. In addition, it makes discussions regarding the technical specifications difficult and acts as an additional source of error in issuing amendments. We understand that these differences have existed for a number of years.
This situation must be corrected. Accordingly, we have enclosed a copy of the official version of your technical specifications and request that you submit an amendment request that, when issued, would eliminate any differences. You may adopt a different numbering system for pages, but it is not our intent here to deal with any substantive matters. This would be a purely admini strative change to eliminate any differences and, of course, to correct any errors you may find in your review.
We request your response to this request within 60 days of your receipt of this letter.
