We have received a copy of your application dated January 5, 1982, which was filed with the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR),for review.
This application requested approval of certain Technical Specification changes to increase the allowable phosphate discharge limit for San Onofre Unit 1. Fees pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 were not remitted with your appli cation since your Company determined that the application is exempt from the fee requirements on the basis of our letter dated October 22, 1981, regarding your October 15, 1980 application. We do exempt from fees those applications that are solely for the deletion of non-radiological aquatic limiting conditions of operation and non-radiological monitoring requirements.
Based on information provided by the ONRR staff as the result of their pre liminary review of your application, it has been determined that a Class III fee ($4,000) is appropriate for this application since the review will involve consideration of a single environmental issue and does not involve the deletion of a non-radiological aquatic limiting condition of operation or a monitoring requirement. Therefore, you should remit the sum of $4,000 to our office.
