SUSQUEHANNA STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2-WITHDRAWAL OF REQUESTED LICENSING ACTION RE: RELIEF REQUEST 1RR07 AND 2RR07 FOR THIRD 10-YEAR INTERVAL IN-SERVICE TESTING PROGRAM PLANS (TAC NOS. MF2727 AND MF2732)
Dear Mr. Rausch:
By letter dated September 9, 2013, 1 PPL Susquehanna, LLC (the licensee) submitted relief requests for Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2 (SSES) for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review. The proposed relief requests are applicable to the Third 10-Year Interval In-service Testing Program Plans for SSES. In letter dated September 9, 2013, the licensee stated that the relief requests were associated with a proposed technical specification license amendment request (LAR) that was submitted by letter dated June 6, 2013.2 The NRC staff is not scheduled to complete its review on the LAR until May 2014, which is after the February 2014, requested completion date for the aforementioned relief requests.
Due to this, by letter dated October 10, 2013,3 you requested to withdraw the application from NRC review.
The purpose of this letter is to acknowledge your request to withdraw the application. Based on the withdrawal of Relief Requests 1 RR07 and 2RR07, TAC Nos. MF2727 and MF2732 are being closed. If you have any questions, please contact me at (301) 415-4090.
