By letters dated March 3, 1982 and July 5, 1983, your Company submitted the Inservice Testing Program and requests for relief from certain ASME Code requirements for the first 10-year interval to the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (ONRR) for-review for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station Unit Nos. 2 and 8'.
Fees pursuant to 10 CFR 170.22 of the March 23, 1978 regulations were not remitted with these submittals.
Based on information provided by the ONRR staff as the result of their preliminary review of your submittals, it has been determined that a Class III fee ($4,000) is appropriate for Unit No. 2 because the review will involve consideration of a single safety issue and a Class II fee
($1,200) is appropriate for Unit No. 3 since the review will be admin istrative in nature in that the safety evaluation for Unit No. 2 will also be applied.to Unit No. 3. A duplicate fee of $400 for one of the units is not appropriate in this case since the original submittals for the two units were not filed concurrently. Therefore, your Company is requested to remit the sum of $5,200 to this office. If the ONRR staff's final reviews of your submittals reveal that these fees are not appropriate, you will be notified and any necessary adjustments will be made.
