SAFETY EVALUATION OF THE OFFSITE HAZARDS EVALUATION AT SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION UNITS 2 AND 3 (TAC NOS. 68015 AND 68016)
By letter dated February 8, 1988 you submitted the results of your hazardous cargo monitoring program in accordance with San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) Units 2 and 3 Technical Specification 6.9.1.14. The staff has reviewed your report and has concluded that the total risk for each type of hazard you have analyzed remains acceptably small.
However, the staff has noted an incorrect application of Standard Review Plan (SRP) 2.2.3 guidelines.
The correct application of these guidelines is described in the attached Safety Evaluation Report. Please correct your procedures accordingly.
