SUBJECT:
PROPOSED CHANGE PCN-215 SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 tTAC NOS. 61514 AND 61515)
By letter dated June 13, 1986 you submitted proposed change PCN-215 to Operating License Nos. NPF-10 and NPF-15 for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 respectively. This change would revise Technical Specification 3/4.8.1.1, "Electrical Power Systems, AC Sources,"
to allow a Unit 3 diesel generator to provide emergency power to Unit 2 emergency buses and vice versa, and to allow credit to be taken for an operable diesel generator on the opposite unit. However, your staff subsequently informed the NRC during a telephone conference on April 4, 1989 that the amendment is no longer requested. Therefore, your proposed change is considered to be withdrawn. If this information is not correct, please notify the NRC of your intended actions within 10 days of receipt of this letter.
Sincerely,
/s/
