EXTENSION OF PLANNED OPERATING PERIOD TO SHUTDOWN SAN ONOFRE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, UNIT 2 By letter dated July 11, 1990, you informed the NRC of your intention to extend the planned operating period of San Onofre Unit 2 prior to shutdown for inspection and repair of feedwater system components, from July 15 to July 30, 1990. Your letter summarized the need for and provided a technical justification on the acceptability of the extension.
Based on our review of the evaluation provided in your July 11, 1990 letter, the NRC has no objection to the revised shutdown date of July 30, 1990.
