6JLee, LB-3 RMDiggs LFMB R/F Docket No. 50-362 Southern California Edison Company ATTN: Mr. Kenneth P. Baskin Vice President 2244 Walnut Grove Avenue Post Office Box 800 Rosemead, California 91770 Gentlemen:

We are actively working with the staff of the Division of Licensing (DL) to complete fee determinations on some applications filed by your Company prior to June 20, 1984. It is our intent to address most of these old applications in a future, single letter. In the meantime, we can now close our records on a November 19, 1982 application regarding shutdown cooling trains for Unit No. 3 (formally submitted December 9, 1982 as NPF-15-2). For NPF-15-2, your Company paid a Class II fee of $1,200. In our June 6, 1983 letter we requested a Class III fee of $4,000 for this application. By your letter dated July 1, 1983, you provided your basis for a Class II fee. The DL staff have reassessed their fee determination on this application and agree that the Class II fee paid is appropriate. Conse quently, no additional fees are due, and we consider this a closed issue. We regret the delay in responding to your letter. Sincerely, original Signed by: Reba M. Diggs Reba M.
