On November 15, 1982, the Commission issued Operating License NPF-15 (five percent power) for the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 3. On September 16, 1983, the license was amended to authorize full power (100%) operation. As required by 10 CFR 170.21, an oper ating license fee of $302,800 was paid for the issuance of the oper ating license.
In accordance with Footnote 3 of Section 170.21, the costs incurred in the processing and issuance of the San Onofre operating license have been reviewed and they substantially exceed the maximum fee of
$302,800 prescribed by the Commission's regulations for a concurrent review under 10 CFR 170.21 A.(l). Since the maximum fee prescribed by regulation for an operating license has been paid, no additional operating license fee is required for San Onofre 3.
